Designer maker.

Charlotte designs and makes mixed media jewellery from her workshop in Bingley, West Yorkshire. She works predominantly in silver, incorporating other materials such as vintage plastics (Bakelite, Casein, Lucite), wood and glass to add colour and texture to the jewellery she creates. Inspiration comes from the surrounding landscape. Tall, waving grasses, delicate wildflowers and sculptural seed heads that can be found on the moorland, in the hedgerows and along the towpaths near where she lives. All of these forms translate well into metal and therefore jewellery, and have led to a series of statement brooches and pendants.

Charlotte trained as a jeweller and silversmith at Sheffield Hallam University before going on to teach design at a progressive school in London for 12 years. She now runs her own jewellery practise from her workshop in Bingley, which she shares with a fellow jeweller and her workshop dog, Bea. She is a qualified teacher and works part time at Swarthmore Education Centre in Leeds as a jewellery tutor. She also offers jewellery workshops for groups or one on one teaching, contact her for details.

She exhibits and sells her work all around the country at various shows and galleries.
